Emerson Essay

     In the essay “Self Reliance”. The authors main idea of the essay is about how someone can have self confidence while somebody is telling you something bad or judging you. In the essay there are some key points for the readers; Emerson motivated the readers to build up their relationships with other people and be honest with them. “Be yourself; no base imitator of another, but your best self. There is something which you can do better than another. Listen to the inward voice and bravely obey that. Do the things at which you are great, not what you were made for”. I think that Emerson’s idea can be useful in my outside life. My own thoughts, I feel like no one should be judged while showing their true inner colors, I mean who doesn’t like to get judged? Building a relationship with other people will give you a bigger bond to get close with. Emerson’s emotions towards the essay is emotional and sad because of the way he explains every single detail in the essay and how it’s being said.
